Well I sit here in bed watching “Kiss the Girls” on Channel4 and frantically trying to finish my piece that I have been working on for bout 3 weeks now. Not even Malteasers are helping. I have been up now since 5 o clock his morning and sleep is finally creeping up on me. Well I will endeavour on to try and complete tonight however that seems a more and more unlikely outcome…

Guys I am back with a vengeance. I have made myself a New years promise….I am going to embrace the social media aspect of my life. I have so much more confidence in my work and my ability to access social media and I hope that this will not only add, but enhance my work. I have put a lot more effort into my art work and not only will this build on my output but get it out to the world and access more critique and maybe praise….. Here goes attempt 2!

This is quite a new experience for me, writing about my life and what I do throughout my day - like a online diary, an e-diary if you will. Today I have mostly had a day off from “The Project.” I have spent some time today surfing the web and taking a look at some publications and twittering some ‘twits’ I have to say I am very enthused by how much good art there is out there in the world and even more so in the UK. However for the majority of these are the not-so-famous shall we say…

Today marks the second day of the journey to the realisation of my long-term vision of becoming a professional artist and to make a living from my craft, now a lot of thought has gone into what I want out of the outcome and I can honestly say that the answer has still yet to come for me. I like to think of this as a fluid process and one does not want a fixed vision.

I just feel I am working on so much at one time right now that I need to take a deep breath and do one thing at a time. Like my mother used to tell me;

“If you put one foot forward, then the other and take one step at a time, before you know it you are all the way down the road”

This is always in the back of my mind when I am making my art and I can honestly say that I never feel as alive and alert as when I am making my art. I can only wonder as to what will become of what I am making now, will they all still be taking up room and gathering dust in my garage in 10 years time. Stacks of folios covered in dust and paint and cobwebs taking up room in the corner of my studio as I fail to live up to my aspirations again…No this will never do, it will never happen, will it?

Well only time will tell & only I will make the difference.
